Harvest Days Aug 5-7

Harvest Days is right around the corner. The annual event is planned for Friday-Sunday, August 5-7. Plan now to participate in all the fun.

On Friday, there will be free swimming at the pool that afternoon and a dive-in movie that night at 9 p.m. as well as a showing of “Lightyear” at the Strand Theatre.

That evening, the Harvest Day Parade will start at 6 p.m. The theme for the parade is decades. No preregistration is required if you want to be in the parade. Line up ahead of time by the pool. The cornhole tournament will take place promptly after the parade. Preregistration via Scoreholio.

If you’re interested in the Road Race on Saturday morning, you can find registration info on the Marshall Co. WOW Facebook page. The Lion’s Pancake Feed will also take place that morning.

The sand volleyball tournament will take place on Saturday at Pool Park. Four person teams (2 male/2 female) are invited to participate. Contact Megan to sign up at 605-290-7419. The vendor fair on Saturday is also still open. Contact Tari at 605-448-8325 to get on the list. For the jigsaw puzzle competition on Saturday, contact Mary at 605-824-8714.

The ColdFront Fitness Fittest of Harvest Days competition is open to all ages. Contact MJ to sign up at 702-325-4267. The car show and kids powerwheel races will take place Saturday afternoon. People can enjoy live music throughout the weekend. Darren Beyer will perform at Snapper’s Dry Bean Friday evening. Weston Frank will rock the street early Saturday evening and Tripwire will wrap up the night.
