Council OKs Water/Sewer Project Bid

The Britton City Council held a special meeting on Monday night. Bids for the Industrial Park Water and Sewer Improvement project were opened early that day. Chris Pederson from ISG presented the Council with the bids. Only one bid was received from Dahme Construction Co in the amount of $172,660.55. Although this is above the Engineer’s estimate, Pederson told the Council it is not out of the ordinary based on the increase price of materials, labor, etc. and their recommendation is to award the contract to Dahme Construction.

The council voted to award the contract to Dahme Construction. In addition, they authorized the execution of the documents and to approve for the Mayor and Council President to be able to sign all documents related to this project.

The council also began discussing the 2023 budget. Further budget discussion will take place at a special meeting on October 19th beginning at 4:00. No action was taken The council went into executive session to discuss personnel. No action was taken after the session.
