MARSHALL COUNTY 4-HERS RECOGNIZED

    Awards, medals, premiums and other recognitions were handed out to Marshall County 4-Hers in traditional 4-H Clubs members in addition to 4-H Cloverbuds and Pee Wees at the Marshall County 4-H Recognition Event that was held Sunday afternoon at the Marshall County Community Building in Britton.  
    Jennifer Ringkob welcomed all in attendance and thanked everyone for a very successful year, graduating 4-Hers Riley Jones, Erika Symens and Cassidy Biel led everyone in the American and 4-H pledges. 
    Many special awards were conferred. Kelly Burley was named this year’s Friend of 4-H for helping to get the dog show back up and running and putting in the time to help the youth practice through the year with their dogs. Bridget Shileny, an 11-year Marshall County 4-Her in the Hillbillie Hustlers club was given the 4-H Alumni Award. 
     Regan Ringkob received the Accumulative medal in agriculture. Bee Ladys Choice in memory of Judy Gulleson, sponsored by Debbie Thorn was awarded to Cassidy Biel and Riley Jones. Lily Mundt was given the Outstanding Horse Award. 
    Graduating 4-H Members were recognized, including Ellie Feldhaus (Hillbillie Hustlers 10 years), Cassidy Biel (Prairie Pasques 9 years), Erika Symens (Barn Buddies 10 years), Riley Jones (Prairie Pasques 11 years).
     Jayden Bender was recognized as this year’s Outstanding 4-Her and also received the Lorne Tilberg Memorial Award. The Danforth Leadership Award was conferred to Oliver Moeckly and Brynlee Patterson. 
    Julie Symens was recognized as she retires from her leadership role in the Barn Buddies after being a 4H Leader for 36 years.

Youth In Action Awards
     Awarded to traditional 4-H members who participate in Youth in Action activities on the county and/or state level.  The activities may include Fashion Revue Contest, Special Foods Contest, Public Presentations Contest, Performing Arts, Hippology, Horse Judging Contest, Consumer Decision Making Judging Contest, Livestock Judging Contest, and Shooting Sports 4-H State Level Tournaments.
