This past winter was a rough one for most in this neck of the woods. But for law enforcement and other emergency responders, it was extra difficult. Marshall County Sheriff Sam Swanson estimates that for every blizzard the area saw, and there were many, he and his deputies responded to four or five stranded or stuck motorists. At the Tuesday meeting of the Marshall County Commissioners, the board made the decision to wait on the bond election for the Courthouse project. Though no official date has been chosen, sometime in August looks likely. Peters said this when discussing why she chose to teach in the school district she graduated from 20 years ago.
