HE'S HERE!

HE'S HERE!

Our son is here! The moment we’ve been waiting for for almost a year has finally arrived, and my family couldn’t be more excited.
On September 12, 2026, Oswald Brason Warburton became part of our world. That Friday night, we made our way to Aberdeen to check into the hospital. I had convinced everyone, including myself, that this baby was coming early. But the day had finally arrived, and we no longer had to worry about which route would be the fastest during labor. We had plenty of time to get everything ready and prepare for his arrival.
We picked up the girls from daycare and stopped at a park before dropping them off at my cousin’s house. After that, we enjoyed a quick date-night dinner before the big event.
I won’t go into all the details of my labor, but I will say that things didn’t go as planned. About eleven hours into labor, my blood pressure and the baby’s heart rate kept dropping. The doctor felt it was best to perform an emergency C-section to keep us both safe.
At that point, I was freaking out on the inside. I know plenty of mothers have C-sections, but you never expect to need one yourself until it happens.
Everything was moving so fast, and the lights were so bright. But with Chase right beside me, I knew we were going to be okay. I just tried to hold it together until I heard his little cries. When I finally did, I could breathe again, and I cried with relief.
I couldn’t wait for the girls to meet their little brother! My cousin Beccie had been watching them while we were in the hospital. They went to her son’s football game, visited the museum, and spent time at Wiley Park. Knowing they were having such a good time made me feel so much better while we were away.
When they arrived at the hospital, Autumn immediately went for the bottle, eager to feed her baby brother. Violet wanted to hold him first, and when I placed him in her arms, my heart was completely full. Watching her take in his tiny little self as she gently touched his head and gave him soft kisses was everything I had been waiting for over the past few months. It was a moment I’ll never forget.
And now, I’m completely obsessed. With all the baby snuggles, all the little noses, and all the tiny things that make him so precious. I have three beautiful kids, and I couldn’t be happier.

Poll: DO YOU CONSIDER THE INDEPENDENTS? Independent candidates are becoming a more visible option in South Dakota and other Great Plains states. U.S. Senate candidate Brian Bengs of South Dakota, along with independent candidates in Montana and Nebraska, recently pledged not to caucus with either major party if elected. They say they would consider policies from both parties and prioritize the needs of their constituents over party leadership. When deciding how to vote, do you seriously consider independent candidates, or do you generally vote along party lines?
