LADY BRAVES ADD FOUR WINS

Grupe Hits Milestone With 1,000th Assist
LADY BRAVES ADD FOUR WINS
Jaelee Grupe was credited with her 1,000th career assist at the GPL Tournament Saturday.

The Britton-Hecla volleyball squad rebounded from a first-round loss to Milbank and downed Great Plains Lutheran and Freeman to claim the consolation championship at a tournament at Great Plains Lutheran in Watertown on Saturday.
That came on the heels of straight set wins over Waverly-South Shore last week Tuesday and Florence-Henry on Thursday to boost the Lady Braves’ season record to 10-2 heading into last night Tuesday’s home clash with Sisseton.
This week the local netters hope to avenge their loss to Milbank at Milbank on Thursday and host Waubay-Summit on Tuesday.
“The girls played hard and came out of the week and tournament with some good wins for our team,” said Peters.  “It was a group effort and the girls are really starting to play with purpose and finding their strengths, which is the perfect time as we reach the height of our season with the most difficult teams to be faced in the next few weeks.”
Junior Jaelee Grupe reached a personal milestone this week, recording her 1,000th career assist.
