PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY MARSHALL COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at 5:46 p.m., Marshall County 9-1-1 processed several 911 calls regarding a vehicle accident at the intersection of SD HWY 27 & SD HWY 10 (6-Mile Corner).
Multiple agencies were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, units observed a two-vehicle accident. Due to the location of the vehicles and responder safety concerns, South Dakota Highway 10 was closed and traffic was diverted around the accident.
Law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel triaged three patients. One patient required extrication from a vehicle. All three patients were transported to Marshall County Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
The responding agencies extend their gratitude to the bystanders who assisted at the scene, as well as to the motorists who yielded to responding emergency vehicles.
