LOCAL 4-Hers FARE WELL AT STATE FAIR

Marshal County 4-H was well-represented recently at the State Fair in Huron. Local members entered projects in a variety of project areas, including static exhibits, Youth in Action events and livestock.

Marshall County 4-Her Baylee Bender earned first overall in the Senior Division of Consumer Decision Making Judging at the South Dakota State Fair.

MC 4-Her Briggs Hagen exhibited the Reserve Champion Continental Pullet at the SD State Fair.

Marshall County 4-Her Izabell Ceroll earned a purple ribbon with her Suffolk ewe and placed fourth overall in the Junior Breeding Sheep Showmanship competition at the South Dakota State Fair last week.

Poll: END OR RETAIN EXPANDED MEDICAID COVERAGE? South Dakota voters will decide in November on a proposed constitutional amendment that would end the state’s expanded Medicaid coverage if the federal government’s share of funding for the expansion falls below 90%. The expansion, approved by voters in 2022, provides Medicaid eligibility to certain adults ages 19 to 64 with incomes up to the federal limit established by the constitutional amendment. The proposed amendment would remove that expanded coverage if the federal funding level drops below 90%. If the election were held today, how would you vote?
