HAGEN 'SEEING RED' AT HURON IH TRACTOR EVENT

HAGEN 'SEEING RED' AT HURON IH TRACTOR EVENT
Tuf Hagen from Lake City recently displayed two of his tractors down at the iconic Red Power Round Up event in Huron SD. His Super M-TA is a 1959 model, propane converted to gas, and his Farmall M is a 1949.

A young man from Marshall County attended the 37th Annual Red Power Round Up in Huron, SD this weekend. Tuf Hagen, the son of Brandon and Calee Hagen, has a deep passion for tractors. Specifically, IH tractors.
Tuf started watching Classic Tractor Fever every Saturday morning and became enthralled with Old Iron.
“If we ever forget to record that show, Tuf is MAD for a week!” Says his mom Calee
During the weekly program, they would talk of the iconic event called Red Power Round Up, the show that travels throughout the country once a year and displays thousands upon thousands of IH tractors.
“I knew I would be going and taking my tractors with me when I heard it would be in Huron,” says Tuf.
Tuf already owns a 1949 Farmall M that his dad had purchased years before on a farm sale, and most recently had talked his grandpa into buying him a Super M-TA with dreams of restoring it with him. Both tractors made the trip down to Huron for display and recognition.
“My favorite part of the show was sitting by my tractors and talking to the people who would come by and ask me questions about them,” says Tuf.
The three-day event boasts IH Vendors, a daily parade of tractors, and a truck and tractor pull. Next year’s event will be held in Centreville, MI, while the 2028 Red Power event will be in Thief River Falls, MN.
“I’m making plans on attending the 2028 event, “says Tuf. “My M-TA will be restored and maybe I’ll have another piece of Old Iron I can bring with by then too.”
