Former residents, alumni and community members are invited to return to Hecla June 26-28 for the All School Reunion and a celebration marking 250 years of the United States.
The weekend will feature a variety of activities, including a community gathering on Main Street Friday evening, a parade Saturday morning, a cornhole tournament, a banquet and program, and a street dance featuring live music by the Lizzy Hofer Band on Saturday night. A church service and brunch will wrap up the celebration on Sunday.
Food vendors will be available throughout the weekend, offering a variety of food and refreshments for attendees.
A $15 gate fee or dance ticket will be required for admission to the Main Street festivities Saturday evening. Organizers note proceeds from ticket sales will help cover event expenses and support the newly established Hecla Beautification Fund.
Organizers encourage everyone with ties to Hecla to attend and help celebrate the community’s history while reconnecting with friends and classmates.
