BRITTON SWIMMERS DIVE INTO SUMMER SEASON
Emersyn Eimers competed in the butterfly in the Britton Swim Team’s first meet of the season held in Watertown Saturday and Sunday.

    Despite the fact that the Britton Swim Team had not yet been in the pool for a practice, the local swimmers competed in a meet in Watertown Saturday and Sunday.
    Layla Landreth was a double winner in the age 7-8 girls bracket, taking the 25 free and 25 back events.  Other winners were Sage Phillips, 25 back in the 11-12 division; Ayla Sasker, 11-12 bracket in 25 breast; and Laken Tosse, 25 free in 11-12 division.

Poll: END OR RETAIN EXPANDED MEDICAID COVERAGE? South Dakota voters will decide in November on a proposed constitutional amendment that would end the state’s expanded Medicaid coverage if the federal government’s share of funding for the expansion falls below 90%. The expansion, approved by voters in 2022, provides Medicaid eligibility to certain adults ages 19 to 64 with incomes up to the federal limit established by the constitutional amendment.
