Sixteen Langford Area seniors will receive their diplomas during the school’s 115th commencement ceremony on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the school gym,
The ceremony will feature student and school speakers. Clarissa Guy and Shaina Kleeman, both Langford Area graduates, will present the Senior Honor Presentation. Senior Class President Tucker Jo Hardy will give the welcome address.
Superintendent Shad Storley will recognize honor students, present the senior class and scholarship awards, and highlight student achievements. Board of Education President Jennifer Gustafson will present the diplomas.
The Langford Area Choir will perform “I Lived,” while the Langford Area Concert Band will play the senior class’s favorite pep band tune, “Jenny,” along with the processional and recessional.
Members of the Langford Area Class of 2026 include Clarissa Guy, Conner Glines, Tucker Jo Hardy, Dylan Harmon, Grace Hatfield, Graydon Hurley, Kassen Keough, Shaina Kleeman, Jordyn Nickeson-Brennan, Maddox Nickeson-Brennan, Paytyn Marlow, Ethen Olson, Julian Rodriguez, Bradyn Small, Mariah Tosse, and Dawson Vander Vorst.
The class motto is “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory,” a quote from Dr. Seuss. The class flower is the maroon rose, and the class colors are maroon, gold, and white.
The last day of school for the seniors was Tuesday. Other students will be dismissed for the summer at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.
