LA SETS OFF DOWN YELLOW BRICK ROAD NEXT WEEK

    Langford Area High School will bring a beloved classic to the stage next week with its production of The Wizard of Oz.
    Performances are scheduled for a matinee on Wednesday, April 15 at 12:45 p.m., along with evening shows Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m.
    The timeless story follows Dorothy as she is swept away from her Kansas home to the magical land of Oz, where she meets unforgettable characters and journeys down the Yellow Brick Road in search of the Wizard. Along the way, audiences can enjoy many of the show’s iconic songs, including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road.”
    Leading the cast is Brynn Samson as Dorothy, joined by Kassen Keough as the Scarecrow, Conner Glines as the Tin Man and Tucker Hardy as the Lion. Alex Darling takes on the role of the Wicked Witch, while Emily Olson appears as Glinda the Good Witch.
    Community members are invited to attend and enjoy this family-friendly production filled with music, adventure and heart.
    The Britton-Hecla High School play will be performed April 23-24. Watch for a preview of that production in next week’s paper.
