The Sargent County 4-H Hippology teams traveled to Lisbon on Feb. 28 to compete in the SE Judging Classic Hippology contest in Lisbon. The Intermediate team (Laura Delahoyde, Daphne Bosse, Alice Hopkins, Ella Ingvalson) placed in the Gold division, and second overall.
Seniors Lily Mundt and Alison Kottke teamed up with Dickey County in the Senior division. They also placed in the Gold division and were second overall. Lily was the second, and Alison the third high individual overall.
Valley City was the place to be March 6 for the ND Winter Show. The 4H Hippology Teams competed in the Winter Show Hippology Contest. This year, the contest had a something new – as the youth judged classes of Belgian and Friesian horses. The intermediate team (Laura Delahoyde, Daphne Bosse, Alice Hopkins, Ella Ingvalson) placed ninth overall, and were third in stations, and tied for fifth in the test division.
Once again, seniors Lily Mundt and Alison Kottke teamed up with Dickey County. The Team placed third overall; second in team problem; third in exam; third in stations, and third in judging.
The teams are coached by Jacy Bopp, Christine Bopp and Julie Hassebroek.
