Two Langford Area girls basketball players have received postseason recognition.
Senior Paytyn Marlow was named to the Lake Region All-Conference first team, while junior Alex Darling was a second team selection. The Lady Lions backcourt duo combined for 58% of the team’s scoring this season with Marlow averaging 15 points per outing and Darling 11.
Other members of the first unit were league most valuable player senior Amree Vander Vorst, North Central; senior Ashley Haven and junior Tara Blachford, Northwestern; senior Marley Guthmiller, Ipswich; sophomore Anika Mueller, Faulkton Area; and freshman Kaydee Mackner, Warner.
Joining Darling on the second team were junior Jolie Fogarty, Aberdeen Christian; senior Ella Batie, North Central; eighth grader Brooklyn Mueller, Faulkton Area; junior Tristan Geditz, Ipswich; senior Kaitlyn Mueller, Leola-Frederick; and sophomore Jaycee Jung, Warner.
Honorable mention selections included senior Kalyce Achen and sophomore Arabella Clark, Leola-Frederick; junior Breelyn Satter, Northwestern; senior Presleigh Martinmaas, Faulkton Area; and senior MaKenna Leidholt and freshman Miah Leidholt, Warner.
