KRAFT HONORED BY LEGION FOR EDUCATION EFFORTS
Rose Kraft of Britton American Legion Auxiliary Unit 80 receives a Certificate of Appreciation during the District V American Legion Auxiliary meeting Saturday in Bruce. Presenting the certificate is District V Commander Arlo Jurrens. Kraft was recognized for her service to The American Legion’s Education Program and her commitment to promoting the organization’s four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.

    Rose Kraft, member of Britton American Legion Auxiliary Unit 80 was recognized at the District V American Legion Auxiliary Meeting in Bruce, SD this past Saturday. District V Commander, Arlo Jurrens, presented Kraft with a Certification of Appreciation from National American Legion Commander, Mike Rohan, and National Americanism Commission Mark Avis. 
    The certificate read, “In recognition of outstanding service to The American Legion’s Education Program, Rose Kraft is awarded this Certificate of Appreciation by the National Americanism Commission for your unwavering commitment to promoting the four pillars of the American Legion.” The four pillars are Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. These pillars guide the organization’s advocacy, programs and services, focusing on supporting veterans and active military, ensuring a strong national defense, promoting patriotism and assisting families.
    Currently Kraft is in her seventh year serving as the Department of South Dakota’s Membership Chairman, is the Department 2nd Vice President and Constitution and Bylaws Chairman and is in line to become the Department of South Dakota’s President in June of 2027.
    Among with Kraft’s many contributions to the American Legion and Auxiliary, she along with her husband Mike are instrumental in beginning the South Dakota American Legion Sporter Air Rifle Tournament and Scholarship in 2026.
