1,000-POINT CLUB IS RECOGNIZED
Britton-Hecla is honoring 1,000-point career basketball scorers from Britton, Hecla, and Britton-Hecla schools with a new plaque to be displayed at the school. Some members of the 1,000-point club were on hand for the dedication of the plaque at Friday night’s doubleheader.     Boys and girls basketball players from Britton, Hecla, and Britton-Hecla High Schools who scored 1,000 points in their prep careers were honored during a doubleheader in Britton on Friday.
    Those achieving the milestone include Jim Schlekeway, Britton, 2,033, 1964; Wayne Schlekewy, Britton, 1,500, 1966; Dan Yelkin, Britton, 1,100, 1973; Rebecka Richter (Havlik) Hecla, 1,080, 1993; Josh Thorpe, Hecla, 1,928, 1996; Emily Richter (Taylor), Britton, 1,042, 2001; Michelle Bruns (Kirk), Hecla, 1,753, 2001; Tanner Knecht, Hecla, 1,294, 2002; Casey Erickson, Britton-Hecla, 1,413, 2007; Emily Goedert (Hrabik), Britton-Hecla, 1,605, 2008; Dallas Goedert, Britton-Hecla, 1,107, 2013; and Kyler Meyer, Britton-Hecla, 1,102, 2019.
