LA REIGNITES STUDENT OF MONTH PROGRAM

    Langford Area School has officially reinstated its Student of the Month program beginning this January, recognizing students in the categories of Academic Achievement, Outstanding Character and Lion Pride, and Outstanding Effort and Motivation.
    The elementary school honorees for the month are Elizabeth Knebel for Outstanding Character and Lion Pride, Jude Samson for Academic Achievement, and Jessup Sippel for Outstanding Effort and Motivation.
    At the middle and high school levels, the students recognized for Academic Achievement are Lydia Honl and Gunner Hardy. Awards for Outstanding Character and Lion Pride were presented to Josie Vander Vorst and Ryken Burnett. Finally, Zoey Moen and Johnny Behning were honored for their Outstanding Effort and Motivation.

South Dakota voters will decide in November on a proposed constitutional amendment that would end the state’s expanded Medicaid coverage if the federal government’s share of funding for the expansion falls below 90%. The expansion, approved by voters in 2022, provides Medicaid eligibility to certain adults ages 19 to 64 with incomes up to the federal limit established by the constitutional amendment.
