Britton-Hecla used a 20-point second quarter to grab a 29-18 halftime lead and kept Warner at bay in the second half on the way to a 54-41 win.
The victory boosted the Braves season record to 9-2 heading into a game with Leola-Frederick last night Tuesday.  This week the local cagers play at Aberdeen Roncalli on Thursday, battle Lennox in the Dak 12-NEC Clash in Madison at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, and host Sisseton in a twin bill with the girls’ squad on Tuesday (JV boys, JV girls 5 p.m., varsity girls, varsity boys to follow).
Graham Fosness pumped in a season-high 20 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the Braves.  Jaxon Zuehlke chipped in with 10 counters, 12 rebounds, and five steals.  Will Richter dished out nine assists and had three steals, Chaz Vietor had four blocked shots, and  Mitchell Burger contributed five boards.
“This was a really good road win for us on a back-to-back,” said B-H coach Troy Knecht.  “We shot the ball well from the outside and got good looks in the paint when we needed them.  Defensively we executed and really limited them from the perimeter.  We’ve got some growing to do yet but I like where we are at.”
