Langford Area’s FFA season is underway, and the chapter is already seeing standout results. Four members competed at the District One Leadership Development Event in Doland, earning several top finishes.
In extemporaneous speaking, Ryker Bruns and Bradyn Small represented the chapter, with Small taking first place and advancing to the state competition. Regan Bruns competed in Prepared Public Speaking and placed fifth, while Lizzie Gustafson finished fourth in Employment Skills, earning alternate status for state.
The event also marked leadership transitions on the district level. Bradyn Small and Dylan Harmon wrapped up their terms as district officers, and Regan Bruns was elected as the new District President.
“These students really give it their all and stepped out of their comfort zone,” said the Langford FFA advisor. “While it may be scary to do a speech by yourself or interview with four adults, these students made the commitment, and it showed in our results.”
