LONG ROAD BACK FOR FORMER B-H CAGE STANDOUT

LONG ROAD BACK FOR FORMER B-H CAGE STANDOUT
Britton-Hecla girls basketball coach Terry Nelson traveled to Wahpeton last weekend to see former player Sterling Brassfield’s return to the hardcourt for the University of Jamestown after undergoing knee surgery and missing her senior high school season.

It was a long road back for 2025 Britton-Hecla graduate Sterling Brassfield but she was back on the hardcourt last weekend.
Brassfield hurt her knee while competing for the B-H volleyball squad in September of last year and missed her senior basketball season after having surgery in December.
Last weekend she competed for the University of Jamestown junior varsity squad and had four points, six rebounds, three steals, and four assists in her return to the floor.  She followed that up with four points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal the next night.
Brassfield is the 12th girl that has been coached by B-H girls coach Terry Nelson that has gone on to play college basketball.
