B-H INTERP REPEATS AS ECC CHAMPS

    The Britton-Hecla oral interpretation team came out in first place for the second year in a row at the ECC tournament Wednesday, led by a win from the reader’s theatre team of Paisley Bray, Carter Chapin, and Amelia Ingvalson.  Preliminary round ratings were used to qualify eleven entries into final rounds for individual events and duets.  
    Earning second place final round medals for the team were Bray in poetry, Chapin in storytelling, and Baylee Bender in oratory.  Other finalists included Chapin and Bray’s duet, Ingvalson and Savannah Angstman in poetry, Emily Effling and Noah Schuster in serious reading, Ingvalson and Aiden Strong’s duet, Adalyn Kanizar in storytelling, and Annalie Satterlee in the humorous division.  Other team members competing were Ryer Larson, Lillian Boyko, Charles Schuller, Brooklyn Hunt, Avery Leonard, Ruthie Moeckly, Olivia Effling, and Wyatt Strong.  
    For those interested in seeing the team perform, the local contest is open to the public and will be held Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 PM in the choir and band rooms at the school.  Two former BHHS interpers, Thane Henschel and Kate Wismer, will be judging each division and picking the entries that will be moving on to regional competition in Aberdeen later in November.
