B-H HOMECOMING KING AND QUEEN CROWNED
This year’s Britton-Hecla Homecoming King and Queen were crowned Monday night. Karlie Zuehlke (parents Kurt Zuehlke and Nicole Stiegelmeier) was named queen and Jaxon Zuehlke (parents Brian and Jill Zuehlke) was named king. The parade is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday with the football game at 7 p.m. Check back for more homecoming photos next week.

This year’s Britton-Hecla Homecoming King and Queen were crowned Monday night. Karlie Zuehlke (parents Kurt Zuehlke and Nicole Stiegelmeier) was named queen and Jaxon Zuehlke (parents Brian and Jill Zuehlke) was named king.  The Britton-Hecla homecoming parade will kick off Friday at 1 p.m. Community and business floats are encouraged to join. Entries should begin lining up on north of First Lutheran Church by 12:45 p.m. The blocks north of the Amacher Auditorium and the playground are reserved, and entries should face east. The parade will travel west on Main Street to Vander Horck, then north on 13th Avenue before disbanding. Parade participants will sign a school release waiver at Fifth and Main, Following the parade, school will dismiss for all grades at 1:45 p.m. 

Parade: Friday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.

Volleyball: Thursday, Sept. 25 vs Florence-Henry 

Cross Country: Monday, Sept. 28 at Groton

Football: Friday, Sept 26 at 7 p.m. vs. Great Plains Lutheran

Britton-Hecla is celebrating Homecoming this week. As always, part of the festivities included the crowning of the king and queen. This year’s candidates included back row, left to right, Bryce Hawkinson, Jaxon Zuehlke, and William Richter. Queen candidates were, front row, Ava Teveldal, Karlie Zuehlke, and Isabel James. At Monday night’s coronation, Karlie and Jaxon were crowned queen and king.
