The Britton-Hecla volleyball squad split a pair of matches during the past week, dropping its first of the season.
The Lady Braves, now 3-1, swept Tri-State last week Tuesday and had not lost a set this season until Webster Area won a hard-fought five-set battle on Thursday.
This week Coach Jenna Peters’ squad hosts Deuel on Thursday, competes in the Clark-Willow Lake tournament on Saturday, and hosts Langford Area on Monday.
“Tri-State was a good win, but Webster Area was a good loss,” said Peters. “We were able to see what parts of our game need work. Webster played well and we had too many mistakes. I hope we get a chance to play them again because I think it would end differently.”
