SUMMER FEST HITS LANGFORD FRI-SUN

    Langford is buzzing with anticipation for the annual Summer Fest and Alumni Weekend this Friday through Sunday. The event promises a packed schedule of activities for all ages, drawing residents and former Langford-ites back to celebrate.
    The festivities kick off on Friday with a Block Party at Carol & Vollie Ann’s Birthday Bash from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Later that evening, the Alumni Party with Southside Pine will be held at Remedy’s from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
    Saturday offers a full day of entertainment. Highlights include a Hot Breakfast & Mimosas at Remedy’s from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., town-wide garage sales all day, and the Brown Co. Old Time Tractor Pullers (N. of Jensen Auto) at 1 p.m. The afternoon will feature the Dakota Broadcasting Live Broadcast at Main Street from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the Shriner’s Bean Bag Tournament at Remedy’s starting at 4 p.m. The evening wraps up with  an Alumni Party with Collin Donley at Remedy’s from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
    The celebration continues on Sunday. Food trucks, breakfast and lunch at the fire hall will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., while the pop up shops outdoor vendor fair at the Park will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Car enthusiasts can enjoy the Show ‘n Shine Car Show at the Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Live music with the Turtle Peak Band will play at the Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and kids activities including inflatables and water fun will be available at the Legion Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A kids rock scavenger hunt will also be held all day.
