Britton’s 14U baseball team has a full head of steam heading into postseason play, winning four games in the past week to boost its season mark to 21-7.
The local nine swept Milbank 12-6 and 10-5 on Thursday and steamrolled Sisseton 11-4 and 11-1 on Monday.  Britton was supposed to play Emery and Clark in Clark on Sunday but those games were wiped out by rain after just an inning and a half of play.
Britton will host Volga for the first game of a regional best-of-three series on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and then travel to Volga next week Thursday, July 31, to close out the series.  Britton is hosting the U    4 state tournament Aug. 8-10 and has an automatic state berth, but the regional series will be used to determine pool seeding.
