The Buckhorn Rodeo is set to return this Friday and Saturday, with performances beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The event will be held 8 miles east of Britton on Highway 10 and is sanctioned by the SDRA, NRCA, NDRA, and MRA.
All the fun rodeo events people love will be back! Junior bull riding will also take place, featuring four age divisions and nightly buckles for winners.
Family-friendly fun includes stick horse and sack races for kids during each performance. Tickets are $15 for adults ($10 in advance), $5 for kids ages 5-12 ($4 in advance), and free for children under 5. Advance tickets are available at several local businesses, with sales closing Thursday.
Gun and ladies bling raffles will be held Saturday night before bull riding. The event is sponsored by the Buckhorn Rodeo Association. Concessions will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Dances featuring live music will be held nightly after the rodeo at Snapper’s Dry Bean in Britton.
