BUSINESS OF THE MONTH: BRITTON DAYCARES PART 2

More Britton Daycares Raising Respectful Kids and Kindness
BUSINESS OF THE MONTH: BRITTON DAYCARES PART 2
As part two of its Daycare Provider’s Day coverage, the Journal highlights four more of Britton’s dedicated home-based child care providers. Cindy’s Daycare, Bumblebee Daycare, Backyard Playschool, and Drake’s Daycare each offer a warm, supportive environment where young children grow, learn, and thrive under the care of passionate and committed providers.

Editor’s Note- In continued recognition of Daycare Provider’s Day last month, we’re back with Part 2 of our special feature on Britton’s local daycares. This month, we’re highlighting Cindy’s Daycare, Bumblebee Daycare, Backyard Playschool, and Drake’s Daycare—four more home-based providers who are making a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and families.

Cindy’s Daycare
For nearly 47 years, Cindy Zuehlke has quietly and faithfully cared for children in Britton, becoming a trusted name in local daycare. As she nears a major milestone, Cindy reflects on her journey, the families she's served, and the joy that still fuels her every day.

Bumblebee Daycare
From taking down wallpaper to teaching preschoolers, Jennifer Gerken and Nicole Jones have built Bumblebee Daycare into a cheerful hub for young learners. With over a decade of partnership, these longtime friends share the joys and challenges of raising the next generation—together.

Backyard Playschool
Mud puddles, messy art, and sensory play are all part of the plan at Backyard Playschool. Brittany Bush has turned her Britton home into a haven for hands-on learning where getting dirty is encouraged—and where early childhood development is always front and center.

Drake’s Daycare
Blending motherhood with a passion for education, Emily Drake opened her home daycare in early 2024. With a background in teaching and a heart for young learners, she’s created a space where kids are nurtured, lessons are meaningful, and kindness is key.
