The annual Pass It On #ForTrevor 5K fun run/walk returns this Saturday at 10 a.m., starting at Hugh Schilling Field and the Britton Area Event Center. The community-driven event honors the legacy of Trevor Zuehlke and supports local youth sports and organizations through the Pass It On #ForTrevor Foundation.
Participants are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 a.m. for registration and T-shirt pickup. Pre-registration is not required—no one will be turned away.
This year’s event promises more than just a run. A full day of fun and giving back is planned, including bouncy houses and yard games from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a grill-out meal beginning at 11 a.m., hosted by the Britton Action Club. Meal proceeds will go toward supporting Tyson Morris and his family as he recovers from a recent accident. Tyson, a close friend of Trevor’s, is the latest recipient of the community’s generosity as the foundation continues to “pass it on.”
Adding to the spirit of the day, Midwest Lux Salon (612 Main St., Britton) is offering free-will donation haircuts from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. All proceeds from the salon event will also support the Morris family. Attendees are asked to come with clean, dry hair.
Organizers say they’re excited for a full day of community connection, fun, and heartfelt giving. “We have such a fun event planned and hope the whole community and those near and far will come enjoy the day with us,” organizers shared.
