The Langford Area track squad competed in the Ipswich Relays on Saturday and took just four athletes due to a conflict with the school play to the Orville Pfitzer Relays in Britton last week Tuesday.
Coach Brian Schuring’s squad traveled to Groton yesterday (Tuesday), goes to Sisseton on Friday, and to Milbank on Tuesday.
“The Britton meet was a good one to improve on our times and marks as individuals,” said Schuring. “The meet at Ipswich was filled with good competition. We had some PR’s which is always good to see. We have to keep our heads up and keep striving to improve.”
Currently, Paytyn Marlow is the only LA thinclad to rank among the top 24 in the state in Class B. At the end of the regular season the top 24 advance to the state meet. Marlow ranks 16th in the 100 dash and is in a four-way tie for 20th in the long jump.
