B-H’S NEBRIDA, MOECKLY, RT GROUP ARE NEC ORAL INTERP CHAMPS
Several Britton-Hecla Oral interpers placed at the NEC meet last week. In varsity, winners were Oliver Moeckly and Jerod Nebrida in Duo, and the Reader’s Theatre group of Moeckly, Nebrida, Carter Chapin, Braydon Casey, and Amelia Ingvalson. Moeckly place second in oratory and Casey was third in humorous.

    The Britton-Hecla oral interpretation team came within one point of winning the first North East Conference Oral Interp Contest with Webster edging them out last week.  Varsity winners were Oliver Moeckly and Jerod Nebrida in duet and the reader’s theatre comprised of Moeckly, Nebrida, Carter Chapin, Braydon Casey, and Amelia Ingvalson.  Moeckly also placed second in oratory and Casey was third in humorous.  
    In junior varsity competition, winners included Lillian Boyko in storytelling, Baylee Bender in oratory, Ingvalson and Chapin in duet, and the reader’s theatre with Boyko, Avery Leonard, and Mia Kilker.  Charles Schuller placed second in humorous.  
    The public is invited to the local contest Monday, November 11 in the band and choir rooms at the high school.  Enter through the arena doors.  Guest critics will be Bridget Shileny, former Britton-Hecla and SDSU interper, and Amanda Nordquist, former Milbank and SDSU interper.  
    The winner in each category will move on to represent the school at regional competition November 19 in Aberdeen.
