B-H Boss Coach Of Year
In his fifth season as Britton-Hecla head football coach Jacob Skogstad has been named the Eastern Coteau Conference Coach of the Year. Skogstad guided the Braves to a perfect 5-0 league record and the ECC nine-man championship this season.

Eastern Coteau Conference football champion Britton-Hecla received several postseason honors last week.
    The Braves posted a perfect 5-0 league to earn the ECC title and for that accomplishment Coach Jacob Skogstad was named the league’s nine-man Coach of the Year.  Five players were also named to the All-Conference Team with two others receiving honorable mention recognition.
    All-Conference honors went to B-H senior Daniel Person, juniors Bryce Hawkinsono and Jaxon Zuehlke, and sophomores Jace Rein and Graham Fosness.  Seniors Dashel Davidson and Jordyn McGregor were honorable mention picks.
    Named the league’s offensive MVP was Micah Holien of Great Plains Lutheran and the defensive MVP was Kowynn Muhl of Great Plains Lutheran.
    Rounding out the All-Conference squad were seniors Micah Holien, Kowynn Muhl, Brody Scharlemann, and junior William Krenz of Great Plains Lutheran; seniors Sam Appelhof, Zach Ries, and Colton Kranz of Waverly-South Shore; seniors Brooks Dolen, Dylan Rumpza, and Caleb Miller of Waubay-summit; and seniors Karter Kohlenberg and Carson Vavruska of Florence-Henry; and senior Keitrick Genia of Wilmot.
    Other honors mention selections included senior Austin Rubendall and jujior Lucas Johnson of Great Plains Lutheran; senior Brady Eschen and junior Kyle Kneeland of Waverly-South Shore; senior Hunter Bourassa of Waubay-summit; senior Tristyn Sumner of Florence-Henry; and senior Jaxen Dockter of Wilmot. 
    Finishing behind the Braves in the league season standings were Great Plains Lutheran at 4-1, Waverly-South Shore 3-2, Waubay-Summit 2-3, Florence-Henry 1-4, and Wilmot 0-3.
