LA INTERPERS ON TO DISTRICTS
Langford Area oral interpers who participated in the local contest on Monday included Joao Nunes, Daniel Jesz, Conner Glines, Ethan Jesz, Ryder Smith, Kassen Keough, Lillian Olson, Josie Jensen, Josie VanderVorst, Morgan Ostlie, Shaina Kleeman, and Maddie Knebel. The winners in each category will advance to the district contest in Aberdeen on Nov. 6.

    Langford Area Oral Interpers put their talents on display Monday evening at their district contest. The judge for the event was Missy Storley. 
    Students advancing to the district contest following the event where Maddie Knebel (Poetry with her piece “The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde”), Daniel Jesz (Humorous with his piece “Lights Out!”), Morgan Ostlie (Serious with her piece “Blind Date”), Josie VanderVorst (Non-Original Oratory “A Note for Rachel Scott”), Shaina Kleeman & Morgan Ostlie (Duet with “Our Depression Speech”), and Conner Glines, Kassen Keough, Joao Nunes, and Ryder Smith (Readers Theater with their piece “Handsome Prince School”). 
    Other participants in the duet category included Josie Jensen and Lillian Olson with their piece “This Speech Contest Has Been Cancelled” and Daniel and Ethan Jesz’s selection “BUN-GEE.”
    Langford Area’s district competition will be Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Aberdeen Recreation & Cultural Center.
