42 LIFEGIVING BLOOD DONORS

42 LIFEGIVING BLOOD DONORS

The Britton Community Blood Drive, held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, saw an impressive turnout, with 42 donors stepping up to contribute. The event resulted in 47 units of life-saving blood, which could potentially save up to 141 lives—a remarkable impact on the local community.
The event was coordinated by Jesse Bolzer and the Britton Action Club, with support from the Britton Lions Club, who volunteered and served as an additional sponsor. Special thanks also go to the Britton Events Center for hosting the drive.
Several first-time LifeServe donors were recognized, including Dale Hagen, Thomas Jones, Shawn Kalbrener, Alecia Pearson, Vibeke Trevithick, Melanie Trevithick, and Pamela Zierden. Milestone donors were also celebrated, with Sandra Nelson, Lori Rabenberg, and Alan Heer reaching the 1-gallon mark, and Pamela Lunzman celebrated for her 16-gallon donation.
Donors are reminded they can transfer their lifetime donations to LifeServe by visiting lifeserve.info/transfer.
Mark your calendars for the next blood drive on Dec. 10, 2024, at the Britton Events Center, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This drive will be sponsored by the Faith Small Scholarship Blood Drive.
To schedule an appointment, call Faith Small at 605-290-7746.

Some people view it as no different than other entertainers and performers who have appeared at White House events under various presidents. Others believe a professional fighting event was not an appropriate use of the White House grounds. What do you think?
