VEBLEN SUMMER BASH SATURDAY

    This weekend, Veblen will be a happening place. Their annual Summer Bash is back with several fun events throughout the day on Saturday. 
    The day starts at 8 a.m. with the 5K Run/Walk starting at the Old School. Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. For more information, contact Lynn Storbakken at 701-403-4688.
    The car show will also get rolling in the morning. Registration will be at 9 a.m. on Main Street. There is no registration fee. Classes include Mopar, Ford, GM, Pickup, Motorcycle and open. Judging will take place at 10 a.m. with awards given at noon. The event is in support of Operation Comfort Warriors.
    Pie, bars and coffee will be served at the American Legion from 9-11 a.m. for a free will offering. Proceeds will go to next year’s 125th Celebration. 
    The big Summer Bash Rodeo will take place Saturday evening at 5 p.m. People are invited to bring a chair and enjoy the show.
    Throughout the day, both Pub 605 and El Mitote will have food and drink specials. The Greg Hanson and the Backroads Band will play at Pub 605 starting at 8:30 p.m. There is also special music that evening at El Mitote starting at 8:00 p.m.
