Ministerium Hosting Social Media Speaker Wednesday

Ministerium Hosting Social Media Speaker Wednesday

The Marshall County Ministerium will be sponsoring an event focusing on how social media and technology affects the human spirit on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30 PM at Britton First Lutheran. Linda Hinckley, a mental health counselor from Deadwood, SD will be the presenter for the event.

She will be sharing how having a hard time focusing, feeling like you're living in a fog, isolated, anxious, or depressed may be resulting from our use of social media and technology. Our cell phones are meant to be tools for us to use and not a tool that uses and affects us.

If you feel that technology and especially cell phones are affecting your life and those of family members, you will want to mark this presentation on your calendars. All are welcome at this event.

South Dakota voters will decide in November on a proposed constitutional amendment that would end the state’s expanded Medicaid coverage if the federal government’s share of funding for the expansion falls below 90%. The proposed amendment would remove that expanded coverage if the federal funding level drops below 90%. If the election were held today, how would you vote?
