SUTHER, EIMERS STATE CHAMPS

          Two Britton youth wrestlers were crowned state champions at the state tournament held in Rapid City last weekend.

          Ben Suther topped the 16U Cadet field while Emersyn Eimers won the girls Midget 110 bracket.

          Five other grapplers placed among the top eight in their divisions.  Emsley Eimers was third in Girls Bantam 70, Lincoln Kilker was fourth in 16U Cadet, Crue Jones was sixth in Midgets 63, Corbin Dawson seventy in Novice 127, and Jace Morris eighth in Tots 43.

          Other wrestlers qualifying for the state tournament were Booker Hardy and Hudson Morris.  All but two of the Britton competitors had a full bracket of 14-16 participants in their weight class and a total of 1,730 wrestlers qualified for the state tourney.
