A short-handed Britton-Hecla wrestling team dropped a pair of decisions to Kindred and LaMoure-Litchville-Marion in a triangular held at Kindred on Thursday.
“We were kind of down in numbers due to sickness and injury, but we didn’t fare too badly,” said B-H coach Josh Hawkinson. “Our focus now is trying to get healthy and guys are trying to lock in what weight they will wrestle in the regional tournament.”
Missing from the lineup due to injuries were Conner Glines, Tanner Atkinson, and Collin Beaner, and Colt Hanson was out because of illness. Hawkinson hopes to have Glines back from a rib injury this week, Beaner jwill be out until the first of February, and Atkinson may be lost for the season with a dislocated kneecap.
Bryce Hawkinson at 145, Dustin Stabnow at 152, and Ben suther at 160 were both double winners for Britton-Hecla.
This week the Braves will compete in the Kingsbury County Tournament on Saturday and travel to Viborg for a quadrangular on Tuesday.
