Sandra Kay Kuhlman, 67, of Britton, passed away January 5th, 2024 in Britton, South Dakota of natural causes.

She was born on October 31, 1956, to Gilman and Evelyn Kuhlman in Madison, Wisconsin.

Sandra graduated from the University of Minnesota, obtaining a Bachelor of Agricultural Business Administration.

She had a variety of professional and personal interests. When she lived in Minnesota she was a mortgage adjuster. When she lived in Nebraska she worked as a pen rider in a feedlot. Her last career was caring for patients as a certified nurse assistant.

Sandy was an enthusiastic cowgirl, cook, and animal lover. Always proud of her horse riding, cattle drives, garden and baked treats.

She was the loving mother of two children, Daniel Cohen and Sydney Yelkin (Cohen). As well as a supportive, lifelong friend to a circle that extended far beyond the town she proudly called home. She had a genuine curiosity for getting to know new people and their life’s journey.

Sandy is survived by children Sydney (Devin) Yelkin (36) & Daniel Cohen (41), and granddaughter Willow Yelkin (3).

She was preceded in death by her parents Gilman Kuhlman and Evelyn Lang.

In lieu of visitation and funeral services, a celebration of life gathering will take place this summer. Please contact Sydney Yelkin for details.

Condolences may be directed to the family in care of Sydney Yelkin – 808 11th Ave. – Britton, SD 57430.
