B-H Eighth Graders 3-0

The Britton-Hecla eighth grade girls basketball team is off to a fast start, while the seventh grade squad is still looking for its first win.

The Britton-Hecla eighth grade girls basketball team is off to a fast start, while the seventh grade squad is still looking for its first win.

Kassi Jones is coaching the two clubs this season.

The eighth graders opened with a 35-6 win over Tiospa Zina, downed Sisseton 3112, and stopped Wyndmere-Lidgerwood 23-18. A combined seventh and eighth grade squad also posted a 31-8 win over Enemy Swim.

Britton-Hecla’s seventh grade club has dropped decisioins to Tiospa Zina 25-10, Sisseton 45-4, and Wyndmere-Lidgerwood 18-7.

Koryn Jones notched 17 points to lead the win over Tiospa Zina. Paityn Erickson and Chellon Robinson added six each, Tiana Tank four, and Jiana Davidson two. Against Sisseton Jones pumped in 18, Baylee Bender and Erickson four apiece, Robinson three, and Davidson two. Jones had 10, Robinson nine, and Bender and Tank two each in the win over Wyndmere-Lidgerwood.

In the combined squad victory Robinson led the way with 17, Tank had five, Erickson four, Bender and Jones two each, and Livia Knecht one.

Sage Bosse-Faulhaber and Arianna Gonzalez both netted four points in the seventh grade loss to Tiospa Zina, and Knecht added two. Against Sisseton Sage Bosse-Faulhaber and Erickson both had two. In the Wyndmere-Lidgerwood contest Kendra Kadoun netted three, and Sage Bosse-Faulhaber and Erickson had two.
