The Britton-Hecla volleyball squad ran into a tough Hamlin unit on Thursday, falling in straight sets 25-11, 2511, 25-10.

Coach Jenna Peters’ crew, now 8-11, faces a rugged schedule this week to wrap up regular season play with four matches in an eight-day stretch. Last night Tuesday the Lady Braves traveled to Great Plains Lutheran, Clark-Willow Lake comes to town on Friday, B-H hosts Aberdeen Christian on Monday, and the local netters travel to Wilmot on Tuesday. Region 1B tournament action gets underway on Oct. 30.

“We are working hard to get the girls playing together,” said Peters. “Hamlin was rough, but we have high hopes for the last four games of the regular season.”

Tiyanna Schott led Britton-Hecla against Hamlin, going 7-7 at the service line with an acae and pounding 11-13 at the net with four kills. Emma Kraft was 16-20 at the net with a pair of kills, Karlie Zuelhlke added three kills and Abby Lee put down two, Heather Storbakken had 10 assists and 14 digs, while Annika Tank came up with 11 digs.
