Langford Area is the Greatest Of All Time! Next week, they will celebrate Homecoming with that very theme…G.O.A.T.
The fun starts on Sunday with the coronation of the King and Queen at 3 p.m. in the school gym. The homecoming candidates this year are Isaak Jesz (parents Orrie and Sarah Jesz), Kalen Godel (Leighann and Gerrit Boone), Corbin Traylor (Matthew and Jennifer Traylor), Cali Vander Vorst (Jacob and Mindy Vander Vorst), Megan Gustafson (Jennifer and Joe Gustafson), and Tawnee Nelson (Travis and Jessica Nelson)
Dress-up days are also planned to fit with the G.O.A.T. theme. They are: Monday- Greatest Comedian of All Time (Dress like Adam Sandler Day), Tuesday- Greatest Athlete or Team of All-Time (Jersey Day), Wednesday- Greatest Dynamic Duo of All-Time, Thursday- Greatest Doll of All-Time (Barbie vs Ken Day), Friday- Greatest School of All-Time- (Show your Langford School Spirit). Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.
The parade is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday and will go down Main Street. Langford Lutheran Church’s WELCA group will also be serving a lunch on Friday with a bake sale. The bake sale begins at 10 a.m. with lunch served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lutheran Church.
Other homecoming events include the volleyball game against Great Plains Lutheran on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with the Snake Dance following the game. Football on Friday will start with the junior high game at 5:30 p.m. and then the JV game at 7 p.m.
