Bird-watching and hunting/fishing has grown in popularity during the pandemic as people looked activities. Cars were lined up on SD Highway 10 at Sand Lake this spring to watch the annual for low-cost, easily accessible outdoor activities to compensate for the suspension of many indoor spectacle of the snow goose migration.

Outdoor Activities Boom

South Dakota’s billion-dollar outdoor recreation economy boomed in 2020, providing a much-needed economic boost in several business sectors while giving hope to wildlife management agencies that they can reverse a long-term decline in the number of licensed hunters and anglers.

Lady Braves Moving In Right Direction

Britton-Hecla girls basketball coach MJ Hrabik saw some improvement from his club between its opener and second game and now the holiday break will allow the Lady Braves to re-group for the 2021 portion of the season.
