Britton-Hecla eighth grader Bryce Hawkinson was about to take down Sisseton’s Riley Steen in opening round action of the Northeast Conference Wrestling Tournament held in Sisseton on Thursday. Hawkinson, who sports a perfect 11-0 record and is ranked fifth in the state, won the conference championship in the 126-pound bracket.
The Britton-Hecla gymnastics squad finally was at full strength in its third meet of the season on Saturday and Coach Angela Grupe is pleased with the progress she has seen from her squad.
