The Britton-Hecla fourth

The Britton-Hecla fourth graders recently competed in their first Aberdeen YMCA Tournament after COVID-19 forced the cancellation of last year’s event. Britton-Hecla eighth grader Bryce Hawkinson was about to take down Sisseton’s Riley Steen in opening round action of the Northeast Conference Wrestling Tournament held in Sisseton on Thursday. Hawkinson, who sports a perfect 11-0 record and is ranked fifth in the state, won the conference championship in the 126-pound bracket.
