Lions Win Three Straight

The Langford Area boys basketball team rebounded from a one-sided loss to Groton Area last week Tuesday with three straight wins to boost its season mark to 10-5.

Matmen Wrap Up Regular Season, Host Regional

Britton-Hecla’s Dashel Davidson had his opponent in trouble during a dual with Groton Area on Monday in Britton. The dual was the final regular season action for the Braves who will host the Region 1B Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 19.

Matmen Wrap Up Regular Season, Host Regional

The Britton-Hecla wrestling squad wrapped up its regular season at home with a 54-6 dual win over Iroquois- Doland and fell to Groton Area 48-18 on Monday and will now point towards the state Middle School tournament in Pierre this weekend and the Region 1B tournament set for Britton on Saturday, Feb. 19.

B-H Gymnasts State-Bound

Britton-Hecla’s Emma Kraft competed in the floor exercise as teammates cheered her on at the Region 1A gymnastics meet held in Britton on Thursday. The Lady Braves were one of eight teams to qualify for the state meet in Mitchell Friday and Saturday.

The Britton-Hecla gymnastics team picked a good time to post its best score of the season, scoring 131.875 points to qualify seventh among eight teams advancing to the state meet this weekend in Mitchell.

Matmen Home Monday

The referee was just about to slap the mat as Britton-Hecla’s Dustin Stabnow recorded a pin in recent wrestling action. The Braves will host their only regular season match of the season on Monday before hosting the Region 1B Tournament on Feb. 19.
