Britton-Hecla and Canistota-Freeman agreed prior to Thursday’s Class 9A championship football game to honor injured Braves’ quarterback Trevor Zuehlke on the first play of the game with no quarterback in the backfield. A delay of game penalty was called and declined by Canistota-Freeman.
