Britton Swimmers Host Meet Saturday

The Britton Swim Team will host a meet beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the local pool. The Britton U12 baseball squad picked up five wins in seven starts that included a nohitter and a third place tournament finish during the past week.

B-H Grad Carries Olympics Torch

Britton native and Watertown police officer Scott Price represented South Dakota and the United States in the Law Enforcement Torch Run at the Special Olympics World Games held in Berlin, Germany, two weeks ago. He is holding the Flame of Hope with Special Olympian Min Chin from Chinese Taipei, one of the eight athletes that was part of the Final Leg team that traveled across Germany to deliver the torch in time for the World Games opening ceremonies.
