Lions Lose First Of Season

A week after scoring 65 points the Langford Area football team was shut out by Ipswich-Edmunds Central 14- 0 on Friday in a battle of Lake Region Conference unbeatens.

Jenna Werner of Britton-Hecla blocked this spike attempt in recent volleyball action. The junior standout will likely be lost for the season after suffering an ACL tear in a match in Rosholt last week Tuesday. The Lady Braves are back home against Webster Thursday.

The Britton-Hecla volleyball team lost much more than a couple of matches last week when junior standout Jenna Werner was likely lost for the season with a torn ACL.

LA Girls Win Nail-Biter

Langford Area outlasted Waverly-South Shore in a fiveset match last week Tuesday, taking the final set 15-12 in its season opener.
