U10 Squad Cracks Top Eight

Britton’s Suther Top Hitter In 14-Team Tourney

The Britton U10 baseball team earned a spot in the final eight of a combined 14-team Class A and B state tournament played in Salem last weekend.

The Junior Jacks dropped the opening game of pool play to Platte-Geddes 5-3 but battled back to defeat Canova 4-3.

Britton finished second in its pool with the winners of each pool advancing to the final eight, along with the next best four teams. The local nine entered the single elimination eight-team tournament as the sixth seed based on runs allowed.
