Short-Handed LA Squad Falls In 1B Quarterfinals

A short-handed Langford Area volleyball squad saw its season come to an end in Region 1B tournament play at the hands of Aberdeen Christian last week Tuesday.

Playing without regulars Becca Hanson and Morgan Glines due to COVID-19 quarantine restrictions, the Lady Lions lost to the Knights for the third time this season 25-16, 15-11, 25-22. Coach Susan Larson’s club finished with an 8-16 season mark while Aberdeen Christian finished at 15-9 after losing to top-ranked Northwestern in semifinal action on Thursday. Warner was the other semifinal winner.

Top-seeded Northwestern hosted #16 Timber Lake, and second-seed Warner hosted #15 Faith last night Tuesday to decide berths in the state tournament set for Huron Nov. 19- 21.
